Guide for authors

Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any instances of plagiarism will be automatically declined and the said authors will be prevented from resubmitting to the ISJPESS. The ISJPESS will accept unpublished dissertations and conference abstracts/papers that were not previously published in conference proceedings so long as these are revised according to our submission guidelines below, The ISJPESS allows authors full copyright over their published articles

Manuscripts should be submitted for the (ISJPES) on E-mail (sjournalpess@pem.helwan.edu.eg). all papers submitted are first reviewed by the Editorial Board to check whether they are appropriate for the journal’s readership and in accordance with the editorial policy and aims of the journal. Following this, the paper is sent to anonymous reviewers for blind review. All papers submitted to the journal must conform to the submission guidelines for an appropriate review, The ISJPESS advises that the approximate review time takes between 4-6 weeks.

Submission Guidelines

  • The title page should only include the title. Prepare a second 1-page document that contains the full names, institutional affiliation, country, e-mail addresses, and contact numbers of the author/s. This single page will be uploaded as a supplementary file in step 4 of the submission process.
  • Authors should prepare manuscripts according to APA style and follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th edition). Typing instructions and instructions on preparing tables, figures, references, metrics, and abstracts appear in the Manual.
  • Figures and tables should be placed within the manuscript and not in an appendix.
  • All manuscripts must be double-spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12).
  • The length of articles, excluding appendices and references, should not exceed (12 page). We may make exceptions in some cases.
  • All manuscripts must be accompanied by a title and abstract. The title can be no longer than 12 words, while the abstract is limited to no more than 300 words (but no less than 150). The abstract should be followed by Key Words (maximum 5) used in the article. All Pages should be numbered.
  • Parts of the Manuscript (for empirical research). Authors can deviate depending on the structure of their studies.

Basic Guidelines

  • Title page (full names, institutional affiliation, country, e-mail address, contact numbers of the author/s.)
  • Title (maximum of 12 words).
  • Abstract (300 words maximum).
  • Declaration of any conflict of interest (e.g., funding sources if any). If none, please indicate so.
  • Introduction (both background and literature reviews)
  • Method
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Limitations/Future Directions
  • References as per APA guidelines. (DOI numbers are optional; we do not use the DOI system at the present time).
  • Appendices (if necessary)

  • The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party
  • If the submission does not conform to the APA style throughout, it will be returned to the author(s) without review. Please ensure full compliance with this request.
